This award-winning biopic/film explores the life of Hannah Arendt, the influential German-Jewish philosopher and political theorist. Arendt’s reporting on the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann, one of the major figures in the organization of the Holocaust – controversial both for her portrayal of Eichmann and the Jewish Councils – introduced her now-famous concept of the ‘Banality of Evil.’ Weaving a narrative that spans three countries, the film includes footage from the actual Eichmann trial.

The film will be followed by a round-table discussion with Robert Fine, Emeritus Professor of Sociology, University of Warwick and Professor Lyndsey Stonebridge, University of East Anglia.
